Eco-friendly survey analysis

 Eco-friendly survey analysis

My research topic: Are you eco-friendly?
Target: Japanese University students
Number of respondents: (13)

(Summary) Students answered 14 questions about eco-friendly.

(Results)

Graph#1 shows that about 50% of students always have their own eco-bags. In fact, 46.2% responded 'no', 53.8% responded 'yes'. It is surprising that many students bring my bag and, they contribute to eco-friendly. However, the rest of the people who do not bring eco-bag should have their own eco-bags.

Graph#2 shows that most students can refuse plastic bags. Refusing plastic bags seems easy at first glance, and it is hard. That is because plastic bags are very convenient and can be used for various things in everyday life. It is convenient because it is easy to carry around when you take your shopping home and do not tear easily. Everyone should get into the habit of saying no.

Graph#3 shows that a lot of students take a bath for a long time. It expresses that 23.1% responded '1~10 minutes', '11~20 minutes', '21~30 minutes', 15.4% responded '31~40 minutes', and 7.7% responded '41~50 minutes', 'more than 1 hour'. It is not so good that there are few students who spent short minutes in the bathroom. We should do something to decrease the time to take a bath.

Graph#4 shows that there is a variation in the hours of public transportation. The most common was 46 to 60 minutes. It is found that many students use public transportation on a regular basis. Moreover, some students did not use public transportation in their daily life.

Graph#5 shows that about 50% students do not turn off the air conditioner. It is a question that asks if students are properly acquiring environmentally friendly knowledge. Turning on and off the air conditioner frequently seems environmentally friendly but leaving it on saves more electricity. Students should get correct information about environment.

Graph#6 express that almost all students care about the temperature of air conditioner and heating. It is a question that shows student's concern for the environment in particularly. Most students were concerned about the temperature of the air conditioner. That is a very good thing. Even the small things of worrying about the temperature of air conditioners is a big step if everyone on earth puts it into practice.

Graph#7 indicates various answers. It is a question of what students want to do in the future as an environment effort. Most students answer about separate garbage. It is unique answer that early to bed and early to rise, but it is really effective habit.

Graph#8 shows that almost half of the students eat out once a week. It is said that self-catering products less carbon dioxide than eating out, so it is better not to eat out once a week if possible, so KG students can live an eco-friendly life.

Graph#9 indicates that most students use elevators. Since elevators these days detect people between stairs and elevators without anyone but yourself, use the stairs. In addition, if you use the stairs, it is also good for your health.

Graph#10 shows that almost half students have bought food loss products. This is a question to confirm whether the students contribute to food-loss. Recently, many supermarkets and convenience stores have seen a campaign to eliminate food loss. For example, they cut prices on foods that are close to expiration dates and sell them as products from the food loss section.

Graph#11 express that what is the best solution of food loss for students.
'Buy only what you need' is majority, and check the stock of refrigerators, before people go shopping is also popular opinions. Many students should think seriously about food-loss in the future.

Graph#12 indicates that it is a question of how often solar panel are installed in KG student's families. As a result, most house have no solar panel. Solar panel have many advantages and should be introduced by more houses. For example, they save on electricity bills, earn electricity sales, and it is cool in summer and warm in winter.

Graph#13 shows that most students can separate garbage, but there are some students who still cannot separate them. It is a question asking if students can separate garbage. Not all students can do it, so they should learn more about the environment to make sure that all students are sensible.

Graph#14 shows that half students think each people should care about environment as a solution for improving environment management. Most students believed that environmental protection would be improved if each student cared about the environment. Many people also said they would vote for politicians who sing about environmental protection, and some students agreed with the idea of combining politics with the environment.

(Conclusion)

Through this survey, how eco-friendly KG students is attested. Although many students live their daily life lives with consideration for the environment, some students are unable to separate garbage, so they should improve their knowledge of the environment and live in a society from now on.
